2019 Strategic Planning Session
April 13 and 14 (Richland, WA)
Where is the Richland Section going? How will it get there? How can the Section best serve its members and the community?
These were some of the questions discussed at the strategic planning workshop. Twelve section members, guided by two facilitators provided by the national ACS organization, proceeded in a structured, disciplined way to answer these questions.
To prepare for the workshop, a questionnaire was sent out to all Richland Section members. The sixty-seven members that responded provided a picture of where the section is currently and also provided a wealth of ideas and suggestions. Combining the survey results with the Section’s core value of service to members and the community lead the planning team to define three goals for 2019. Much of the planning workshop was spent on developing concrete steps that can be taken to implement these goals, along with metrics to measure goal completion.
