Fueling the Future

Headshot of Glenn Fuller, featured speaker.

Please join the ACS Richland Section on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 5:30 pm for a Science Café hosted at Moonshot Brewing, 8804 W Victoria Ave # 140, Kennewick, WA 99336. This will be a hybrid event. Light refreshments will be provided.

Glenn Fuller, a representative from petroleum refining, will review the industry transition to low-Carbon feedstocks and how government programs are affecting the industry and its customers which include “Cap and Trade”, the “Renewable Fuel Standard”, as well as state programs such as the “Low Carbon Fuel Standard”. Glenn will use Geospatial mapping and forecasting to visualize the industry transition and emphasize and the growing deficit of bio-feedstocks and the need to urgently develop alternatives.

This discussion will include renewable technology reviews, factors that may influence their application within a refinery, co-location and refinery integration, approaches for partnerships, joint-applications for funding opportunities, and our mutual combined efforts to support scale-up of new technologies.
